Hearts of Oak have finally recorded their first win of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians hosted Bechem United in the Matchday three games at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The Rainbow Club went into the game after suffering back-to-back losses.
However, a strong performance against Bechem United turned their fortunes around.
New signing, Ransford Mensah opened the scoring for the home side shortly after halftime, converting a free-kick from the edge of the box with a powerful shot that left the goalkeeper no chance.
The goal provided a much-needed boost for Hearts, who had been searching for their first goal of the season.
Hamza Issah, last season's top scorer for Hearts, doubled the lead in the 75th minute to end the game 2-2.
The victory was a significant relief for Hearts manager Aboubakar Ouattara, who had faced increasing pressure from supporters.
Hearts of Oak will now look to build on this win as they travel to the Ashanti Region to face Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex while Bechem United, who remain winless after three rounds and are yet to score a goal, will host Dreams FC in the Matchday four games.
