Ghana international Abdul Mumin was the hero for Rayo Vallecano on Monday night, as his thunderous strike helped inspire a 3-1 comeback victory against Osasuna in the Spanish La Liga.
The versatile centre-back started for Vallecano in the Round 5 clash of the ongoing La Liga season, played at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.
Osasuna took an early lead in the 27th minute with a goal from Raul Garcia, leaving the hosts trailing 1-0 at halftime.
Five minutes into the second half, Abdul Mumin produced a moment of magic that could easily be crowned as the goal of the week in La Liga.
Positioned at the edge of Osasuna's box, the Black Stars defender unleashed a ferocious shot that rocketed past the goalkeeper, grazing the post before hitting the back of the net to bring Vallecano level.
Mumin's brilliant strike shifted the momentum of the game, igniting Rayo Vallecano's comeback. Goals from Andrei Ratiu and Unai Lopez followed, securing a 3-1 victory and all three points for the hosts.
Mumin’s performance not only played a key role in Rayo Vallecano’s win but also showcased his attacking prowess, adding to his already impressive defensive capabilities.
The victory keeps Rayo Vallecano on course as they continue their push in the La Liga campaign.
