Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah has drawn parallels between his style of play and that of Barcelona's emerging talent, Lamine Yamal, following his recent transfer to the Spanish club.
Issah, who joined Barcelona on a one-season loan with an option to buy, made this remark during his official unveiling alongside fellow Ghanaian player David Oduro.
The move to Barcelona follows an outstanding season for Issah at Dreams FC, particularly in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Speaking about the new chapter in his career, the 19-year-old expressed his enthusiasm and gratitude for joining a club he has admired since his youth.
“It’s an amazing feeling, a huge joy for me. I've supported this club since I was a child, and to be here now, part of Barcelona, is something I'm deeply grateful for. I appreciate my management, my team, and everyone who has helped me get here. I’m excited to get started,” Issah shared.
He continued by likening himself to Barcelona's young sensation: "I see myself as a player like Lamine Yamal—left-footed, with a love for shooting and attacking. That’s the kind of player I am."
Issah’s comparison reflects his confidence and determination as he gears up to impress with Barcelona B, hoping to catch the attention of first-team coach Hansi Flick.
