Kamaldeen Sulemana’s anticipated move from Southampton to Ajax Amsterdam has fallen through, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Ghana winger was close to securing a season-long loan from the Premier League club to the Dutch side.
However, reports indicate that Ajax submitted the necessary paperwork in the final moments of the transfer window, which was under review by FIFA.
Despite the initial optimism, Romano confirmed that the deal is now off, ending Sulemana's chance to join Ajax this season.
The 21-year-old was seen as a potential replacement for Steven Bergwijn, who recently transferred to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
Sulemana, who previously played for Right to Dream Academy, has not yet featured in the 2024-2025 Premier League season due to an injury.
This also ruled him out of Ghana's squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
