Emirates Cup: Thomas Partey stars in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Lyon to clinch trophy

Ghana international, Thomas Partey put on a fantastic performance for Arsenal on Sunday evening as the team defeated Olympique Lyon 2-0 in the Emirates Cup.

The Black Stars midfield maestro started for his team in their final pre-season showdown ahead of the start of the 2024/25 campaign next season.

In a game played at the Emirates Stadium, Thomas Partey operated from the heart of Arsenal’s midfield. He starred with a top performance that saw him protect his team’s defence and add to the quality of their attack.

Thanks to goals from William Saliba and Gabriel, both equalisers assisted by Declan Rice, Arsenal cruised to an emphatic 2-0 victory at full-time.
