Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has praised Ghanaian players Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp for their impressive goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a preseason friendly.
Ayew and Schlupp played key roles in the match, part of the Stateside Cup in the United States, as Crystal Palace prepares for the upcoming season. Their contributions helped secure a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Both players delivered standout performances, marking their second consecutive game on the scoresheet for Crystal Palace.
Schlupp scored a remarkable goal from 40 yards, giving his team a decisive edge in the match. Ayew, coming off the bench in the second half, doubled the lead after receiving a long pass from goalkeeper Dean Henderson and finishing with precision.
"Jeffrey Schlupp, what a finish from 30 or 40 yards," Glasner commented. "Also, the second one, a strike from Dean [Henderson, with the assist], and how Jordan takes the ball, the technical ability is amazing, and then the finish as well.
"And then I really enjoyed Asher: 18 years [old], he's been with us for three days. He did a great finish, so it was a very nice goal."
Crystal Palace will play a few more friendlies before returning to England to begin their Premier League campaign.
