The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled Chris Hughton as the new Head Coach of the national team, the Black Stars ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The unveiling ceremony took place on Monday at the SG mall in Kumasi.
Chris Hughton will coach the senior team on a contract running till December 2024
He previously worked with the Black Stars as a technical advisor where he worked under then head Otto Addo and his team.
Mr Hughton will be assisted by Mr George Boateng and Mr Didi Dramani, who were both parts of the technical team of the Black Stars at the 2022 world cup.
Chris Hughton was announced as Black Stars’ boss in February 2023, after Otto Addo left the role following Ghana’s exit from the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana will take on Angola in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader, with the first leg scheduled to be played at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday while the reverse fixture will come off in Luanda on Monday 27th March 2023.
