The head coach of the Ghana national team, Otto Addo has expressed disappointment after the 3-2 defeat to Portugal on Thursday evening in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars today put up a good performance but ended up on the losing side of the contest against the 2016 European Champions.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Otto Addo bemoaned the penalty awarded to Portugal for the first goal as he insisted that it shouldn’t have been given.
In a call on his players to turn their attention to the next game, the Black Stars coach said his team must fight to win the remaining two matches in Group H.
"The game plan was ok but the referee gave a penalty which is not a penalty. Everyone saw Salisu. It's a mess. We had our chances even at the last minute. I can't be proud because it's zero points. We have to win our next two games,” Coach Otto Addo said after the game against Portugal.
Ghana will face off with South Korea on Monday, November 28, before playing the final group game in a mouth-watering encounter against Uruguay on December 2.
