Mr Francis Kpesenu, General Secretary of the Ghana Cycling Association told the GNA Sports in Accra on Friday that the association was working around the clock to find an alternative financial support and possibly, come out with a new date soon.

The association was expecting four neighbouring francophone countries - Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Cote D'Ivoire to spice this year's event.

Some of the cyclists expected to have featured included John Zormelo, Rudolf Mensah, Waryo, Djanmang and Aryitey Akoto. The cyclists would have competed in the individual time trial, team time race, Road races and the criterion.
