Striker Diawisie Taylor scored his 17th goal of the Ghana Premier League season on Sunday afternoon but it was not enough to save his Karela United outfit from suffering a 3-2 defeat to Liberty Professionals.
The born goal scorer has been a delight to watch since the 2020/2021 football season commenced and continues to lead the goal king chart after scoring the most goals.
Featuring for Karela United today when the team played as a guest to Liberty Professionals, the striker equalized with a fine effort in the 15th minute to restore parity for his team after trailing to an Abraham Wayo goal in the 12th minute.
Although he would continue to play very well for the away team, the home team appeared the stronger side in the 90 minutes and hence forced his team to succumb to a defeat.
On the matchday, Karamadin Mamudu netted the second goal for Karela United while goals from Kweku Karikari and Evans Owusu sealed the important 3-2 win for Liberty Professionals.
With Diawisie Taylor’s goal for Karela United today, he now has 17 goals and looks certain to win the goal king award at the end of the season.
