Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan was named ‘Player of the Decade’ at the 2021 Ghana Football Awards on Saturday night.
Last night at the Grand Arena inside the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the third edition of the well-organized awards ceremony was held.
In addition to awarding players that have excelled in the past year, the Ghana Football Awards also recognized officials and clubs for doing well to help promote the game.
On the glamourous night, Black Stars great Asamoah Gyan was named Player of the Decade.
The Legon Cities FC man is one of the big winners on the night with Andre Ayew also taking home the prize as the ‘Footballer of the Year’.
On the night, Hearts of Oak and Hasaacas Ladies were named Men’s Team and Women’s Team of the Year respectively while Asante Kotoko’s Nana Yaw Amponsah was named CEO of the Year.
