Great Olympics on Tuesday afternoon comfortably defeated Charity Stars FC 2-0 to ensure they advanced to the Round 32 of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition.
The domestic cup competition is continuing in midweek with the Premier League clubs playing their first games after joining the lower-tier clubs that qualified for the Round 64.
In an exciting game between Olympics and Charity Stars, Coach Annor Walker’s team was no match for the opponent even though he rested a lot of the regulars.
A 2-0 win sees the Dade Boys progress to the Round 32 as they aim to go all the way to win the competition.
With Karela United also in action on the same day, the story was different for the side.
The team drew 1-1 against Sekondi Hasaacas at the end of regulation time after they were given a very tough match.
However, the team in Anyinase had the better of the Division One League club in the penalty shootout as they won 4-2.
As a result, Karela United are also through to the Round 32 of the MTN FA Cup.
Later today, Hearts of Oak are expected to take on Liberty Professionals while Asante Kotoko lock horns with Bekwai Youth Football Academy.
