Hearts of Oak netted a late equalizer through striker Isaac Mensah to earn an important 3-2 win against Ebusua Dwarfs in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Winless in their last four matches, the Phobians today hosted the side from Cape Coast at the Accra Sports Stadium keen on ending that run of poor results.
Fortunately for the team, they scored after just seven minutes into the first half with striker Victor Aidoo converting a penalty kick.
Going on to dominate the opponent, Hearts of Oak doubled their lead in the 20th minute as Victor Aidoo scored from the spot for the second time.
Unable to keep the momentum, the home team allowed Ebusua Dwarfs to grow in confidence as the game progressed, leading to two goals from Moro Sumaila and Dennis Korsah in the 44th and 77th minutes respectively to restore parity for the visitors.
Shocked and headed for a draw, Hearts of Oak mounted pressure on the matchday opponent and eventually scored in added time through substitute Isaac Mensah to win 3-2 at the end of the game.
