Ghanaian forward Winful Cobbinah featured for KF Tirana on Monday when the club suffered a 2-1 defeat to Teuta Durres in the 2020 Albanian Super Cup.
Following an impressive spell in the Albanian Kategoria Superiore during the 2019/2020 football season, KF Tirana lifted the league title at the end of the season.
Ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season, the Champions faced off with Teuta Durres in the Albanian Super Cup this evening in what is serving as a curtain-raiser for the upcoming campaign.
On the Matchday, Winful Cobbinah earned a starting role but his performance was not enough to save his team from losing.
A first-half brace from Rubin Hebaj handed Teuta Durres a healthy 2-goal lead to take into the break.
In the second half, Jurgen Vrapi replaced Winful Cobbinah on the 68th minute and went on to grab a consolation goal for KF Tirana on the 77th minute.
Despite putting up a good fight, Winful Cobbinah’s team suffered defeat at the end of the game, missing out on lifting the first silverware of the 2020/2021 season.
