Highly-rated attacker, Yaw Annor has issued an apology to Coach Maxwell Konadu after completing a transfer to Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC even though Asante Kotoko had expressed interest.
Prior to signing for the Miners from Bechem United, the experienced coach had expressed interest in the winger and hoped the Porcupine Warriors will secure his services when the self-imposed transfer ban was lifted.
Speaking to Kumasi FM, Yaw Annor has rendered an unqualified apology to Coach Maxwell Konadu for disappointing him.
“I want to apologize sincerely to Coach Maxwell Konadu for opting to sign for Ashantigold, it wasn’t my fault to do this. He needed me badly at Kotoko but I’m sorry for disappointing him”, the attacker said.
Yaw Annor added, “Though the deal couldn’t go through but I’m confident of succeeding at Ashantigold and I’m hopeful I will return to Asante Kotoko".
In the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, the right-winger made 13 appearances for Bechem United with his impressive performance catching the eye of many.
Ashanti Gold SC believes he will add depth to their squad as they prepare for the campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
