Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah and all his Inter Milan teammates have tested negative to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease as the Italian Serie A nears a return.
The football season in Italy was suspended in March as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
With an improvement in the situation in the country, football leaders and government authorities are working together to pave way for the resumption of the campaign.
This week most of the top-flight clubs have taken Covid-19 tests as they return to training in hopes of rebuilding the fitness of the players.
A statement from Inter Milan has confirmed that Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is negative and free from the Covid-19.
“FC Internazionale Milan announces that all the medical tests the first team underwent were negative.
“Optional individual training sessions will begin this afternoon”, the statement said.
It added, “The club maintains the utmost attention to the preventive measures for the health of the players and all members of the club, in compliance with all government guidelines and the protection of public health.”
Kwadwo Asamoah and his teammates will train with caution for the next few weeks with the Serie A set to return soon.
