EQUILISM - A PARADIGM TO SAVE MANKIND FROM SELF-ANNIHILATION
Most, if not all, of the problems facing mankind sterm from the existing neoliberal concept of economic order that is unjust in its essence by declaring capital the sole beneficiary of added value (net profit) neglecting the cardinal role played by labour in its creation. Equilism is an economic paradigm that sets capital and labour on equal footings i.e. the net profit belong equally to both. Equilism is simply, commonsense and a fair compromise between labour and capital since profit is the surplus of labour (Karl Marx). Here employees (from top to bottom no matter whether they are also shareholders or not) divide half the net profit equally amongst themselves, capital owners do so in tune with their individual number of shares. Equilism would considerably reduce or eliminate the abnormal and hence immoral socio-economic inequallity in soceity proven by Piketty. It would also eliminate economic migration (the sad Lampedusa syndrome). There would be a considerable increase in world economic activities due to the would be substancial increase in the purchasing-power of a great majority of the world populace bringing about more and more job opportunities. It would defintely bring about economic democracy that would positively enhance political democracy. The benefits of equilism are immense and cannot be put foward here. So one should install it in all aspects of life and try to find a single argument against it. Or install it at the beginning of the industrial revolution and argue the inevitability of the two devastating wars of the twentieth century.
