Embattled actress Regina Daniels has hit back at controversial investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo over her recent remarks regarding the actress's health crisis.
The Nigerian Voice recently reported Senator Ned Nwoko's recent public statement threatening legal action against those fabricating false stories about his estranged wife, Regina Daniels.
Olunloyo, in a post shared on her Instagram page, addressed the actress's fans and reacted to Nwoko's warning. She noted that despite the couple being separated following prior public disputes in 2025, Nwoko continues to publicly express concern for her well-being and the care of their children.
The controversial journalist warned the fans not to expect the Senator's intervention, urging them to keep their mouths shut and give Gina the positive energy and emotional support she needs to recover.
She further asked them to keep her name out of their mouths.
"Dear Regina's IG fans. Pls take your toxicity and negative energy far away from me. Senator Ned Nwoko's Public Plea: On November 2nd 2026, Senator Ned Nwoko released a statement asking the public, fans, and bloggers to stop spreading false reports, including fabricated death announcements and unverified claims about her health and personal life, urging compassion and privacy to aid her recovery.
While they are separated/estranged following prior public disputes in 2025 regarding substance abuse and allegations of mistreatment, Nwoko continues to publicly express concern for her well-being and the care of their children. Senator Nwoko has warned you all. You werent expecting it. Follow instructions and please keep your mouths SHUT. All Gina needs now is positive energy and emotional support and love. Try to keep my name off your mouths. THANK YOU. Dr Kemi Olunloyo."
Reacting to the post via her Instagram story, Regina Daniels slammed the journalist for attempting to stay relevant. The actress stated that she had kept quiet to allow the journalist to continue her usual behavior, but questioned why someone recovering from a near-death experience would want to attract unnecessary attention.
Regina expressed shock that Olunloyo was aware of the meaning of her situation all along. She sarcastically attributed the journalist's actions to her "daily 2k" and told her to ride on.
The mother of 2 also noted that she was only responding because of Olunloyo's grey hair, cautioning her not to feel accomplished or speak nonsense in an attempt to sound sophisticated.
"Sorry I have to publicly laugh this laugh pls…. Aunty werey... just because I am now a retired wahala person I kept you quiet to be zuzuing... don't you know someone staying one place recovering from what would have killed the likes of you will be itching to faint somebody? How can you tell my geng to stay away from you? I shock I swear! So you know the meaning of that all these while? Or was it because of your daily 2k? If that's it, no wahala ride on jare! I gerrit.
Plus because of your grey hair; you merit my response. Don't feel accomplished and put the praises on your experience because if it's by that, you won't beat your chest, speaking nonsense in queen's English that's not making any sense."
