Nigerian stand-up comedian and actor Stanley Chibunna, popularly known as Funny Bone, has penned a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, seven years after her passing.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, he expressed how deeply he misses her, hoping that her back pain has healed permanently and that she is feeling much better now.
The comedian admitted that he misses her even more this year, noting that there are too many unanswered questions and countless conversations he wishes he could have with her, and no one else.
In a follow-up post, Funny Bone shared that the pain of her absence still feels fresh, as if he lost her yesterday.
He expressed that his heart remains heavy and he misses her in ways words cannot explain, but he chooses to trust God's plans, acknowledging that the Almighty knows best even when the reasons are beyond human understanding.
He wrote:
"Seven years gone by without you, Mumsy. How are you doing? I hope your back pain healed permanently and that you’re feeling much better now."
"I miss you even more this year. There are too many unanswered questions and countless conversations I wish I could have with you, and with no one else. But it is well. Keep resting, Mum."
"Chi Anyi na Adi Ndu Aina Nnem"
"You are no longer here, Mum, and somehow, that hurts even more. It feels like yesterday that I lost you. The wound still feels so fresh, as though time has done little to heal the pain of your absence."
"My heart remains unbearably heavy. There are days when I miss you in ways words cannot explain, and the questions I wish I could ask you remain unanswered. But who am I to question God? He knows best, even when His plans are beyond my understanding."
"Keep resting, Mumsy. I miss you more than words can ever express."
