Popular gospel comedian and actor Ayo Ajewole, better known as Woli Agba, and his mentee Olamide Oladimeji, popularly known as Dele Omo Woli, has issued a formal legal notice threatening action over false and defamatory allegations circulating online.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Woli Agba attached a public notice from his representatives, Gemgold Solicitors.
The legal document dismissed claims falsely associating the duo with the demise of the late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, known as Toluwanisings.
The lawyers described the publications as entirely false, baseless, and malicious, stating they were designed to tarnish their hard-earned reputations and expose them to public ridicule. The notice warned the public to desist from publishing, sharing, or circulating the defamatory content, stressing that anyone who originates or endorses such material is equally liable under the law.
Additionally, the solicitors demanded the immediate removal of all such content from any platform.
Furthermore, the document also warned that failure to comply will result in swift legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief, against anyone who continues to spread the allegations.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that gospel singer Tope Alabi had recently served Pastor Tayo Ministries a cease-and-desist notice over similar allegations, which falsely accused her of being a ritualist and having a hand in the deaths of several musicians.
