Nollywood actor Charles Born has hit back at critics who have been commenting on his recent weight loss transformation, revealing the severe health challenges he endured while he was obese.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the actor stated that his decision to shed the weight was driven entirely by a desperate need to regain his health, not by superficial reasons.
He gave a detailed account of the physical toll obesity took on his body. According to him, the constant palpitations, agonizing knee and back pain, breathing difficulties, and overwhelming fatigue were just a few of the issues he faced.
He noted that the list of ailments was endless and expressed relief that he has finally overcome that phase of his life. The actor also had strong words for those criticizing his new look, praying that they never have to endure even half of the suffering he went through.
Furthermore, Charles Born called out the hypocrisy of his detractors, stating that many of those making noise lack the self-discipline required to achieve such a goal, and they are usually the first to complain when someone else accomplishes what they cannot.
He wrote:
"Na only me know wetin obesity use my eye see. Constant palpitations, knee pain, back pain, difficulty in breathing, fatigue. The list is endless! I’m glad it’s done now! To all of you saying all sort of rubbish because I lost weight I pray you do not go through half of what I had to deal with because I was obese."
"If e easy dear pls by all means run am! Half of the people ranting lack self discipline but will be the first to rant when a person achieves what they can never! Watch them come under this post and start crying again."
