Music executive and producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has drawn a parallel between the music business and forex trading, acknowledging that not every artist will achieve global stardom.
He shared this perspective during a recent livestream with popular forex trader Habby Forex.
The MAVIN boss explained that while he engages in forex trading purely for leisure, his primary focus remains on music and his other ventures, which he considers less volatile than the financial market.
He noted that just as trading carries inherent risks, the music industry is also unpredictable. However, he emphasized that success in his label is not solely measured by global domination.
According to him, the ultimate benchmark for success is consistent progress, explaining that as long as an artist is a better version of themselves today compared to yesterday, they have achieved something significant.
He said:
"The forex market is just something I do for fun. Music still takes most of my time, and my other businesses are not as volatile and risky as the forex market. But not every artist I signed will become global. Just like in trading, there is risk in the music business, too. But to us, as long as you are better today than yesterday as an artist, you are a success."
