Mount Zion Faith Ministries' theatrical release, 'Agbara Nla: The Return', has continued its historic run at the Nigerian box office, grossing an impressive N408.3 million.
The latest milestone was announced by the film's distributor, Nile Entertainment, in a post shared on its official Instagram page on Monday.
According to the distributor, the movie is currently standing tall as the number one title for four consecutive weekends. It has also been crowned the highest-grossing film ever released in October and the highest-grossing faith-based title of all time.
Furthermore, it holds the position of the second highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026.
The post read:
"₦408.3 MILLION AND STILL MAKING HISTORY! Thank you Nigeria, this is YOUR victory! AGBÁRA NLÁ: THE RETURN continues its historic run, standing tall as the No. 1 title for 4 consecutive weekends, the highest-grossing film ever released in October, and the highest-grossing faith-based title of all time! AGBARA NLA: THE RETURN IS NOW SHOWING IN CINEMAS NATIONWIDE."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that the movie has been shattering records since its release. It initially grossed over N70 million from single-day preview screenings between September 25 and October 1, with 12,134 admissions, which was the biggest single-day preview gross ever recorded in West Africa at the time.
It then grossed N170.6 million in its first four days, setting three major records: the biggest non-December Nollywood opening weekend of all time, the biggest October opening weekend of all time, and the biggest opening weekend ever for a faith-based film in Nigeria.
Prior to this latest update, it had crossed the N307.2 million mark.
The film is a modern remake of the legendary 1993 Mount Zion Faith Ministries classic, 'Agbara Nla (The Ultimate Power)'.
