The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, has sparked a fresh conversation online after declaring German composer Johann Sebastian Bach the greatest musician of all time.
The tech billionaire, who is the chief executive officer and largest shareholder of Tesla and SpaceX, made his thoughts known in a post shared on the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter).
Musk compared Bach's musical genius to the literary mastery of William Shakespeare, stating that the composer is the absolute best there ever was.
He wrote:
"Johann Sebastian Bach is the Shakespeare of music. Best there ever was."
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on the 31st March 1685, and passed away on 28 July 1750.
He was a German composer and musician of the late Baroque period, universally regarded as one of the greatest composers in Western history.
