Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has penned an emotional tribute to her late mother following her celebrity boxing match loss against reality star Phyna.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, she reflected on stepping into the ring for the first time in her life, describing the experience as one that required nothing but courage.
NBS, as she is fondly called, admitted that she had never raised her hands to fight anyone in all her years on earth, but she stood on an unfamiliar stage in front of millions and fought like a warrior.
She acknowledged that she did not win, but noted that her fight would not leave the mouths of millions in a hurry. She thanked her mother for raising a strong woman, a fighter, and an unstoppable child of grace.
The movie star further urged her mother to keep resting in peace, dedicating her latest match to her.
She wrote:

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Phyna emerged victorious in the bout organised by Balmoral Group, securing a decisive knockout victory in the fourth round.
The fight marked the first female celebrity boxing match staged by the group. Following her win, Phyna expressed her ambition to pursue professional boxing and called out Etinosa for another fight, a challenge Etinosa accepted.
Phyna's victory earned her N50 million, in addition to an electric vehicle.
The bout between the two entertainers began in September after Nkechi Blessing criticised Phyna for her constant online clashes, advising her to relax and respect herself. Phyna fired back, sharing screenshots of a private chat and accusing Nkechi of chasing clout with her name.
