Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has spoken about a health condition that has made movement difficult for him.
He shared this while visiting ailing Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra on Thursday.
In a now-viral clip from the visit, he father of actor Yul Edochie revealed that he has been dealing with swelling in various parts of his body. According to him, walking has become a struggle, though he remains hopeful that he will pull through.
He noted that the swelling comes and goes, pointing out that his hand was swollen at the time of the visit.
The veteran actor also said a prayer, asking God to take him peacefully when the time comes, so he does not become a burden to those around him.
Edochie was in Ghana to see Armah, who has been ill for nearly 11 years. He prayed for his recovery and also extended financial support to him.
"Sitting here, I'm not very well myself. Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover. Sometimes I get up, and parts of my body are swollen. After some time, it goes down again. Like my hand is swollen now."
"I just keep asking God, 'You are the author of life. Whenever you feel it's time for me to go, just take me; don't let me bother the people who are around me."
"It is my belief that you will recover one day."
