Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has expressed sadness over her inability to attend the funeral service of late legendary actor Olu Jacobs on Friday.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, she revealed that she is currently in Ghana and could not be physically present in Nigeria to pay her last respects to the great icon.
Ozokwor stated that it hurt her heart to miss the funeral, noting that she would give anything to be there but contractual obligations would not allow her.
She expressed that her heart and thoughts are with the family and the industry, praying that everything goes peacefully and that Jacobs' remarkable legacy lives on.
She acknowledged that she may not be there in person but is with them in spirit, adding that his legacy will remain forever.
"It hurts my heart that I am not physically present in Nigeria today to pay my last respects to the great legend, Olu Jacobs. I would give anything to be there right now, but contractual obligations will not allow me to. My heart and thoughts are with you all. I pray everything goes peacefully and that his remarkable legacy lives on."

The Nigerian Voice reported that Olu Jacobs was buried at a private cemetery in Lagos on Friday, October 2, 2026, after a funeral service at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1.
Olu Jacobs died at the age of 84 on Wednesday, September 16.
