Gospel singer Esther Igbekele, widely known as the Duchess of Gospel Music, has announced the burial arrangements for her late mother, Madam Mary Amope Igbekele JP.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, she revealed that the journey to her mother's eternal rest begins on Thursday, October 1, 2026, with a Wake Keep Service and Artist Night scheduled from 4:00 PM till dawn.
The burial activities will continue on Friday, October 2, 2026, with the Lying-in-State, Burial Service, and Internment at her residence.
The singer noted that the details are contained in the flyer she shared, and she expressed gratitude to God for the beautiful life her mother lived and the legacy she left behind.
She wrote:
