Nigerian filmmaker Pascal Amanfo has celebrated actor Frederick Leonard, describing him as a rare creative who has kept the soul of storytelling alive in Nollywood.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Amanfo noted that Leonard’s greatest strength is his unwavering commitment to compelling, emotionally charged narratives that reflect the artistic excellence of Nollywood’s golden era.

Amanfo reflected on a time when stories, not cameras or social media highlights, defined the industry. He recalled how audiences were drawn into worlds where emotions felt real and actors performed with everything they had, from Enugu to Festac.

He noted that those days have passed, but Leonard continues to embody that spirit. He further described him as one of the lords of film on their side of the world.
