Davido And I Hold Weekly Finance Meetings – Sharon Adeleke

Sharon Adeleke, sister of Afrobeats star Davido and Chief Financial Officer of DMW, has opened up about how she helps manage the singer's finances and spending habits.

Speaking on The Morayo Show hosted by media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, she revealed that she holds weekly finance meetings with her brother to keep him informed about how his money is being spent.

Sharon explained that during these meetings, she often has to caution him against excessive spending, telling him things like "no more cars" and "no more jewellery." However, she noted that within 24 hours of such warnings, new purchases often show up on blogs, referencing the latest car as an example.

She admitted that they used to fight frequently because she was always the one willing to tell him the truth when others would not, but she believes their current arrangement is a natural progression. She noted that they both needed to go off and do their own things, and now she can use what she has learned in business to help him put structure into his business, making their working relationship more official.

When asked about the extent of Davido's finances, Sharon declined to give details, stating that she had signed a non-disclosure agreement.

She also shared a humorous insight into his standards, noting that if he is booked on an airline without a good first class, he can get to the airport and insist on flying first class. She revealed that she has bought tickets at the airport many times because people tried to cut corners or cut costs. She described the whole experience as full of funny moments.
