Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has raised alarm over the growing food safety crisis in Nigeria.
In a post on social media, she lamented that many commonly consumed food items are allegedly being tampered with or contaminated before reaching consumers.
Expressing her displeasure, she questioned how anyone could completely avoid consuming such harmful products, reflecting the frustration of many Nigerians facing the rise of fake and substandard goods across the country.
The actress, who had previously suffered serious health complications after allegedly consuming contaminated food while on a movie set in Ibadan, revealed that she contracted Helicobacter pylori and later developed Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, which affected her health for years.
Her experience highlights the dangers of consuming adulterated food items, a problem that has become increasingly common in Nigeria.
