My Wicked Roles Are A Divine Calling – Patience Ozokwor

Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, has explained the driving factor behind her regular portrayal of wicked and antagonistic characters.

Speaking during a recent interview with content creator Carter Efe, she described it as a divine calling, while shedding more light on her portrayal of such characters.

Ozokwor explained that she views her acting niche as a gift from God, one that allows her to use storytelling to expose the consequences of bad behaviour.

According to the actress, her performances are carefully crafted to serve as moral lessons, urging viewers to reflect on the outcomes of their actions.

She said:
"I think God gave me that niche. I hate every ill because I don't like injustice, war, and rancour. When you give me those roles, I try to bring everything into them."

"If you are taking part in any of them, you have to be careful and know the end thereof, for the end justifies the means. Know what will happen to you if you live a terrible life, and know what you will gain if you are a good person."
