"Please, If You Have Issues, Speak Out" – Foluke Daramola Urges People In Pain

Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has encouraged people facing difficult times to speak out rather than suffer in silence.

She made the appeal during an interview at the candlelight and night of tribute for her late colleague, Temitope Osoba.

Daramola noted that many individuals keep quiet about their struggles due to the fear of being shamed. She emphasized that no one should feel ashamed to ask for help, as everyone has their own battles.

The actress further stressed the importance of speaking out, stating that sharing one's challenges could open doors for support and understanding.

She said:
"It is when we wear clothes that we feel that everything is okay. We are a whole lot; before we remember everyone, it will be difficult."

Please, if you have issues, speak out, so we can help each other. We can't blame anyone for not being there, because we all have our own personal issues."

Refreshing your memory, Temitope Osoba first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in late 2024 after discovering a lump during a self-examination. Initially, doctors assured her nothing was wrong, attributing the lump to her childbearing age. However, when the lump grew larger, further tests confirmed it was breast cancer.

She underwent her first surgery in November 2024, but doctors recommended a second procedure to remove remaining cancer cells, with the total treatment cost estimated at N12 million.

Her colleague, Foluke Daramola, helped amplify her appeal for financial support, and donations came in to fund the initial procedure. By August 2025, Osoba announced she had overcome the disease, returning to acting and expressing gratitude for the support she received. She had been placed on radiation therapy and was declared cancer-free after follow-up scans showed the cancer had not spread.
