Life Has Felt Different Since Alexx Passed – IK Ogbonna

Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna is still dealing with the loss of his friend and colleague, Alexx Ekubo.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, he opened up about the void left by his passing, admitting that life has been difficult to navigate since.

Ogbonna acknowledged that he has not been fully present and that he and others around him have been trying to find their rhythm again.

He expressed gratitude for the patience and understanding shown to him during this period, and declared his readiness to refocus and move forward.

He said:
"Since Alex passed, life has felt different. It's been a lot to process, and I know I haven't been fully present. I believe in different ways, we've all been trying to find our rhythm again.

I just want to say thank you – for the patience, the understanding, and for holding things down.

Now it's time to find our feet again, get focused, and get back to work. There's a lot ahead of us, and I'm ready. Let's go."

The Nigerian Voice reported that Alexx Ekubo gave up the ghost on May 11, at the age of 40, following a battle with cancer.

The actor's Service of Songs was held at the Monarch Event Centre in the Lekki area of Lagos State on June 10. The ceremony drew a mix of Nigeria’s entertainment and political elite. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as colleagues, friends, and fans came together to pay their final respects to the beloved actor.

Recall that following the arrival of the actor's body at his father’s compound at Arochukwu, Abia State on Wednesday, June 17, a wake-keep was organized in his memory, with Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ayo Makun, amongst others in attendance.
