P-Square Inspired My Music Journey – Davido

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about the influence of iconic music duo P-Square on his career.

Speaking in a recent interview with the BBC, he shared how the twin brothers served as a source of inspiration during his formative years.

Davido recalled how he would proudly speak about Peter and Paul Okoye while in school, highlighting their international collaborations and global recognition.

He noted that their success proved to young Nigerian artistes that African music could break barriers on the world stage.

He said:
"P-Square inspired me. I used to tell my friends in school about how they were two African artistes who had a song with Snoop Dogg and were friends with Kanye West."
