Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has praised his colleague Flavour for demonstrating that staying in Nigeria can be more lucrative than chasing international tours.
Speaking on a BBC podcast, the DMW boss commended Flavour for focusing on his career and business at home rather than following the trend of Nigerian artistes travelling abroad for shows.
Davido noted that Flavour's decision to remain active in Nigeria has shown that artistes can still earn substantial income without constantly relocating. He also advised entertainers to think independently and make decisions based on what works best for them, rather than simply following industry trends.
He said:
"You don't always have to follow what everybody else is doing. Flavour is making more money in Nigeria than a lot of artistes that are touring in America."
