
Ecstatic Oluiwadamilare Okulaja aka Durella has been tipped to become Nigeria's next superstar after winning the MTV & Zain Advance Warning Grand Final.
The 2 artist in his mid 20's from (Ilishan, Ogun State, born and raised in Mushin area of Lagos beat Kaha and Waje to be crowned the first ever MTV & Zain Advance Warning artist, winning a cool 5 million Naira and a brand new music video shot by an internationally renowned video director.
Winner learned of his/her fate from MTV Vj Sizwe Dhlomo during the MTV & Zain Advance Warning Grand Final in Lagos on 21 December (being televised on STV, AIT and MTV base on 28 December).
Winner was chosen by celebrity judges (insert names) after performing two new compositions created during his/her stay in The Loft - a music industry 'bootcamp' attended by the three finalists to sharpen their skills.
MTV & Zain Advance Warning was conceived by MTV and Zain to celebrate and uplift the Nigerian superstars of tomorrow. Twenty six artists lined up originally to participate in the challenge which saw two artists go head to head every week, with the best three making it through to the Grand Final.
