Chartered accountant and economic policy expert, Oby Ezekwesili, veteran actress, Sola Sobowale, and award-winning theatre and film director, Bolanle Austen-Peters, among other phenomenal women, will feature on a Rubbin’ Minds International Women's Month special, scheduled to run every Sunday from March 8 to March 29, 2020. The special is powered by Lipton.
The special will have women achievers including former senator, Florence Ita-Giwa, and veteran musician, Salawa Abeni, share their experiences of being a woman in a patriarchal society like Nigeria, and how they overcome everyday obstacles in personal, professional, and national fronts to achieve extraordinary feats.
The guests line up has women from a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences, who would motivate, educate, mobilize and inspire a new generation of women with the end goal of driving new realities for the modern Nigerian woman.
In a continent with a fast-expanding population, the bulk of which is the girl child, the Rubbin’ Minds special aims to do more by digging deep to unveil the stories of these women, making the show both pertinent and exciting.
In a press release, the show's Producer, Seun Oluyemi, said, "The special edition of Rubbin’ Minds for March is focused on women. But more importantly, the show will highlight gender issues and women empowerment, while engaging other successful women in Nigeria who are beacons of hope to share their stories, elevate and advance societal causes."
