Mr.Samuel Adu Gyamfi, Municipal Chief Executive for Aowin Municipal Assembly in the Western North Region has been named Best MCE under the Akufo Addo’s administration.
He was given the award at the Presidential Globe African Heroes honours award 2019 held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Sunday.
The Awards was organised by the Pan-African Heroes Foundation in collaboration with the Bureau of Research on Governance Commerce and Administration (BORGCA).
Other Award winners include Mr.Simon Osei Mensah Ashanti regional minister as the Best Regional Minister, Best Deputy Regional Minister, Deputy Volta Regional Minister-Rev.Avuletey Johnson; the Best Sector Minister, Minister of Agriculture- Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto (MP); Best District Chief Executive and many others.
Speaking to Mr.Samuel Adu Gyamfi after receiving the award, he expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for appointing him to head the Aowin municipal assembly.
According to him, he would not merit the award had it not been the support of the good people of Aowin and the entire staff of the administration.
He promised to deliver to the expectation of the good people of Aowin and Western North as a whole.
