Solomon was born in 1011 Before Christ in Jerusalem and the only source indicating the reality of the existence of the legendary ruler of the united kingdom of Israel is the Bible. To refute Biblical history hasn’t been easy because even scientists have proved the existence of God.

Thus, biographers and Biblical scholars don’t doubt the once existence of Solomon. Judging by the description of God's book, Solomon is the son of the second King of Israel.

Solomon's parent, Bathsheba, was the daughter of Eliam, and the wife of Uriah the Hittite, the army commander David sent to the battlefront to be killed after David made Bathsheba pregnant.

Solomon wrote three books that changed the Biblical history of the world, the Song of Songs, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. I love the Bible, the truth in that Holy Book has built me in a special way. Today, while reading Ecclesiastics, I selected 10 observations. Enjoy your Sunday.

  • I have also seen this under the sun: In the place of justice, there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness there was wickedness. So I said in my heart: The true God will judge both the righteous and the wicked, for there is time for every activity and action. Ecclesiastics 3: 16-17

  • What does the worker gain from all his efforts? I have seen the occupation God has given to the sons of men to keep them occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has put eternity in their heart, yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish. Ecclesiastics 3: 9-11

  • I have concluded that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during their life, also than everyone should eat and drink and find enjoyment for all his hard work. It is the gift of God. Ecclesiastics 3: 12-13

  • If you see any oppression of the poor and a violation of justice and righteousness in your district, do not be surprised about the matter. For the high official is being watched than one who is higher than he is, and there are others who are still higher than them. - Ecclesiastes 5: 8

  • There is another tragedy that I have seen under the sun, and it common among men. The true God gives a man riches and material possessions and glory, so he lacks nothing that he desires, yet the true God does not enable them to enjoy them, although a stranger may enjoy them. This is futility and a severe affliction. - Ecclesiastes 6: 1-2

  • A good name is better than good oil and the day of death is better than the day of birth. Better go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting, for that is the end of every man, and the living should take it to heart. Ecclesiastes 7: 1-2

  • Better listen to a wise man's rebuke than to listen to the songs of fools. For as the crackling of thorns burning under the pot, so is the laughter of the fool, and this too is futility. Ecclesiastes 7: 5-6

  • Wisdom makes a man more powerful than ten strong men in a city. For there is no righteous man on earth who always does good and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7: 19-20

  • And I saw the wicked being buried, those who used to go in and go out of the holy place, but they were soon forgotten in the city where they acted. This too is futility. Ecclesiastics 8: 10

  • As dead flies cause the perfumer's oil to stink and bubble, so a little foolishness outweighs wisdom and glory. The heart of the wise one leads him to the right way, but the heart of the stupid one leads him to the wrong way. Ecclesiastes 10: 1-2
