Bullying must end

The victims take years to or never recover. When will we learn to stop saying kids will be kids, or in some cases some people ( adults) are just mean , and put a stop to the secret killer of many dreams, self esteem and ambition. No it's not because the victims can't stand up for themselves or are different, it's because the bully cannot accept that every human is born a free individual. Allowed to express themselves as they see fit. As long as no one is harmed in the process.

I don't understand why the bully decides to torture one who has not provoked him. We must stop to them before the victim feels worthless, and gives up the possibility of a life as a dreamer who then becomes an accomplisher. Or the bully grows up, believes that callousness pays and becomes an adult that tramples on the rights of others for personal satisfaction.

Were you or is your child the one, that makes people lose sleep over physical or verbal torture they experience at school. Just because of a joker wanting to joke? Do you give the excuse that you were and they are just children ?Therefore not responsible for others lack of self worth, poor grades, bad decisions, hatred, bitterness and un forgiveness. Their inability to live a fulfilling life. You did not see their grimaces, pleas, tears or un comfort as a sign to stop. Rather a sign to continue the inhumane torture. After all they were different, unhygienic, awkward, obese, unattractive, very intelligent, sensitive, feeble or too scared to fight back. To name a few.

Were you and your children one of those who made others contemplate suicide, commit suicide and shrug of the blame ? You pretend you don't remember what you said or did. Even though the smirks on your faces were evident. Did you not realise that being taunted for who they were on a daily basis eroded their self esteem and their kindness towards others ? Were you trying to create a monster like yourself ? Make them feel like who they are was inadequate. Unworthy of good things and a blissful life? You will always say no, claiming in your memory their feelings as well as them, were never important to you. They were only a tool to satisfy your lust for childhood power and entertainment.

Of course it is your fault. If it wasn't for you they wouldn't feel bad about themselves. Yes they had a choice to let your words affect them. However we know victims of verbal and physical abuse find it difficult to have self esteem. Why can't we see this for children, who are not fully developed; it's hard for the bully victim to ignore the harsh treatment, when they believe it's their fault.

More disgusting are the adults who claim it's a part of growing up, who stand by and watch the bullying happen. Pretending they cannot see the child in pain trying to, apparently, allow the bullying to groom the child into a resilient adult. However it's obvious to anyone with a brain that the opposite will be the result. Some adults are even bullies themselves, they take delight in picking on people who are different.

The childhood bully turns into the kokonsa police, the cunning person in high profile bullying his way into power and the work place bully. They believe others lack of thick skin, individuality or unfortunate circumstances are the reason for their vile behaviour. Meanwhile it stems from within. Like Jesus says nothing comes from outside to defile a man, it's what's within that does.

Therefore let's forget about children being children, they know the difference between right and wrong. It must be instilled into them that wrong doing is not okay.

Those who feel it was just a part of your past, the people you victimised are still reeling from your decisions. I'm not one of those who will let you off the hook, take that in. It's not like the victims have been able to escape the trauma or had the nice childhood you had, because you ruined their chance to. Instead of hanging your heads in shame, many feel the victim somehow deserved it. For those who've seen the error of their ways and apologised, without demanding forgiveness. I salute you.

To those children who were and are bullied, I stand with you. As a fellow victim. Well done for enduring what most bullies are too cowardly to ever survive in your childhood. To those who teach their children basic human kindness and do not tolerate vicious behaviour, by calling it only being a child. God bless you, you raise those in our society who become up standers for the right thing. Brave adults who save humanity everyday.

Bullies in the classroom must be stopped, the bible says train up a child the way it should go and when it grows it will never depart from it. Without proper guidance those children will never learn, nasty behaviour towards others in unacceptable. It will be a shame for them when someone they bullied becomes a Beyoncé, Whitney Houston or Rihanna who were all bullied. Or becomes a columbine killer ( boys bullied by their classmate), armed robber, judge or a politician. Forgiveness is not divine to all, not everyone is willing to be a Good Samaritan, and the seed they sowed as a child might be reaped ten fold as an adult.

To those who are being bullied, ignore the bullies. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, decent and loving. Never turn into what is making you squirm. They are pathetic excuses for human beings and the problem with humanity. You will succeed if you continue to believe that being a good person, with a loving heart and a kind attitude towards others- is all you need to have, to be a person of worth in this world.
