Doomsday Prophecies: It's time to regulate religious activities in Ghana - Concerned Ghanaian urges

The Founder of Concerned Youth for Nzema Development (YFND) in the Western Region, Ishmael Avo Miezah has made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and other Religious Bodies in the country to regulate religious activities in the country to avoid any future occurrences.

His comment follows after the Leader and Founder of the Glorious Word Ministry, Rev. Owusu Bempah incurred the wrath of the public when he prophesied that former President John Mahama, the Chief Imam, and current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are going to die this year, 2019 but was quick to add that these prophesies are yet to be confirmed.

Speaking to his congregation during the 31st watch night service at his church, the popular man of God stated that if Ghanaians don’t pray, John Mahama will be killed by some of his NDC members and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will die.

Some Muslim youth went on rampage to destroy some properties of the Church at Odokor a suburb of Accra two days after the prophecies.

But in a statement signed by the Founder of Concerned Youth for Nzema Development, Ishmael Avo and copied to the media asked "One may ask? What influenced those young Muslims to have the courage to attack both human and properties at Rev Owusu bempah residence".

He added "The obvious reason would be, because there was a prophecy that the Chief Imam would die".

Statement therefore, urged the Ministry of Religious Affairs to regulate religious activities in the country to avoid any future occurrences.

According to the statement "As the adage goes "the burial of the dead is a warning to the living" I suggest this primitive happening should be an eye opening to Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs together with other religious bodies to sit down and rethink about how to regulate religious activities in the country".

Ghana is sitting on time bomb.
After carefully listening and watching videos of the alleged videos on the vandalization of properties belonging to Rev Owusu bempah.

As we all know that, we live in a country where lawlessness has taken over by some jobless and uncultured individuals who would do anything possible to ensure they have their daily bread.

There have been several arguments since yesterday both on TV and social media.

It's very clear, whiles majority are defending the brutality few others are also condemning the act.

One may ask? What influenced those young Muslims to have the courage to attack both human and properties at Rev Owusu bempah residence.

The obvious reason would be, because there was a prophecy that the Chief Imam would die.
