General overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has stated that the recent attack on the Odorkor branch of his church was organized by some people from the camp of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and some pastors who wish for his downfall.

The Prophet has come under heavy criticism for Prophesying on New Year’s Eve that many prominent people in the country will lose their lives this year. One of such name which made the news was the mention of the National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu.

Some angry youth who did not take the mention of the Islamic leader kindly attacked the church of Rev. Owusu Bempah whiles requesting for an apology from the Prophet.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen program this afternoon, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah stressed that he has information that the youth that attacked his church are not Muslims. But rather some politicians belonging to the NDC are behind the attacks.

“There is peace between Christians and Muslims in this country. So why should I be the one to create a problem between the two religions in the country. The attack on my church was not orchestrated by Muslims. A political party is behind the attack. They are motivated by the fact that I have prophesied that they will lose the 2020 elections”, he said.

Rev. Owusu Bempah further insisted that the main opposition party has sent someone from Salaga to come and kill him. He opines that he is aware the NDC has booked a hotel for the person here in Accra where the person is currently lodging.

“Maybe it is not all of the NDC but I know some of the party people are behind the attack”, he emphasized.

He was also particularly full of praise for the National Chief Imam who condemned the actions of the youth that attacked his church last Wednesday.

“I thank the National Chief Imam and Muslims for acting in the best way over my prophesy. I laud them for a nationalist approach to this issue”, Rev. Owusu Bempah shared.
