Why Delegates Must Vote For Messr Stephen Ntim In The July 2018 NPP National Chairmanship Race

Why Delegates Must Vote For Messr Stephen Ntim In The July 2018 NPP National Chairmanship Race
20.06.2018 LISTEN

The race to get the next national chairman for the NPP to lead the party to the 2020 elections is getting closer, keener and more interesting. It is very clear that the race is between Mr. Stephen Ntim and the acting national chairman, Mr. Freddy Blay. Mr. Freddy Blay has done very well to steer the party to victory after the Paul Afoko brouhaha. But, the state of the party after the 2016 victory means that we need new faces to steer the affairs of the party if not we risk going back into opposition.

In every internal elections that is to be conducted, delegates must consider two things, whether the party is in opposition or whether the party is in government. In an event that the party is in opposition, delegates must consider electing executives who can organise the party and steer it to victory. In this regard, we thank Mr. Freddy Blay and his team for the yeoman job they played in 2016.

However, in the event that the party is in government, the task becomes more difficult and heavier as the delegates must consider electing executives who will not only steer the party to victory but will also ensure that they satisfy the demands of the grassroots and also ensure that party members are also rewarded after the victory they toil to achieve.

It is at the second stage that Mr. Ntim stands tall and is separated by a wide distance with the other contestants. Mr. Ntim unlike the others is not holding any national executive position. He has not acted as a national chairman who abandoned the very constituency chairmen, secretaries, organisers, women organisers etc who worked tirelessly day and night to ensure the NPP wins the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections. He did not look on whilst constituency executives who toiled for the party, who were very qualified for any government position you can think of, and in some cases more qualified than those that were eventually appointed, abandoned, rejected and maligned when it came to appointments of MMDCE's, ministers of state, appointment to various boards etc. Mr. Ntim never steered and watched on whilst this gross disregard and injustice was meted out to party executives.

Today, the grassroot is weeping because those they toiled with were abandoned and as such they have no one to carry their cry and concerns to. A very reason why they are insulted by some of the government appointees day in and day out. The question current constituency executives must ask themselves is, do they also want to suffer for the party to win the 2020 election and get abandoned and rejected after victory? Do they intend to toil for the party day and night, have little time for their family members, spend their little for the party to come to government only for them to be maligned and disregarded when it comes to government appointments? If constituency executives think their answer is a NO to all these questions, then they need not to look further than to vote for Mr. Stephen Ntim in the July 2018 national chairmanship elections.

Mr. Stephen Ntim was once a vice chairman of the NPP and he never abandoned the party members throughout that period and after that period till date. He is the best man to lead us to victory in 2020. Mr. Stephen Ntim is the best man to ensure that party members, polling station executives and constituency executives who suffered for the party from 2016 till date and who currently are been neglected are been taken care of...

I shall, In sha Allah, be back...
