Mr Charles Konadu-Yiadom, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkoranza South, has presented 200 pieces of mono desks to the Nkoranza Senior High and Technical School to facilitate effective academic work.
He said with the implementation of the government's free Senior High School programme, there is the need to help address the infrastructure deficit for more students to benefit from the programme.
Mr Konadu-Yiadom said he intends to make similar donation to the Kwabre Senior High School at Akuma.
Mr Atta Amponsah-Frimpong, the Headmaster of the school, expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture, adding that the school needed additional thousand desks.
He pleaded with the MP to pay regular visits to the school to help address some basic challenges affecting teaching and learning.
Mr Sulley Al-hassan, the Nkoranza South Municipal Director of Education, advised the students to handle the desk with care so as to benefit other students. GNA
