What is the Okyeman/Akyem Fraternity trying to imply?

What is the OkyemanAkyem Fraternity trying to imply?

Of course, politics, as it is, may entail a whole lot. It brings together people from different cultural backgrounds, different ethnic or better still, tribal groups, different religions, and many others.

It is a known fact that any group of people can lead any particular political party. That fact notwithstanding, no tribe or ethnic group should arrogate leadership to themselves as a God-given right to Lord it over others.

We all know that the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces (H.E the President) is an Akyem and that is indisputable.

Quite recently, an OKYEMAN / AKYEM FRATERNITY video went viral. In this video, one particular young man who may or may not be the chief linguist for OKYEMAN was seen pouring libation on the grave of Mr. Edward Akuffo (a former Ceremonial President of Ghana). Mr. Edward Akuffo Addo also happens to be the father of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“We must show all of Ghana that, the power to rule is in our hands.” “We have to show Ashantis that we can rule.” “House of chiefs must come back home.” These were some of the pronouncements the young linguist of Okyeman, made on Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo's father's grave.

➡What at all are the Akyems/ Okyeman trying to achieve by introducing such needless antagonisms onto Ghana’s political terrain by targeting the Ashantis?

➡What do they stand to lose or gain by engaging Ashantis in such a competition?

➡What kind of power struggle (or battle) do they intend inviting the Ashantis into?

We need some serious explanations/answers here.
Today the Akyems are portraying to the Ashantis that all their plans are anti-Ashanti. All political positions that were given to Ashantis were just to show that they are merely part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). This is sheer WICKEDNESS.

This has been so well orchestrated that the appointments do not benefit the Ashantis. The Akyems have their game plan. No wonder they chose an Ashanti as the Chief of Staff, who is being bullied by all the Akyems at the Jubilee House.

Under no circumstance will Ashantis sit down and let the Chief of Staff go anywhere or slip by them, not this time. Not when Ashantis give us the maximum votes to win. ASHANTIS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE MARGINALIZED. PERIOD!

Credible information circulating lately suggests that Nana Asante Bediatuo (Executive Secretary to the President) is eyeing the position of Chief of Staff. Could this be POSSIBLE?

Presidential choices or people that offialdom is supporting for the National Delegates Conference/Elections,appear to be coming from the Upper East, Upper West and other regions. The only Ashanti in the race is fighting for the 1st Vice position. Honestly, that is a very weak position. A position that nobody really wants is what is left for Ashantis. This is purely the Akyem Mafia's work and, they should watch it because, anti-Ashanti sentiments would not be tolerated.

Look at the deplorable nature of roads in the Ashanti Region. No one seems to care and could this also be attributed to the tactics of the Okyeman/Akyems? I wouldn't doubt a "yes" for an answer.

To the best of my thinking, unless the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, reshuffles his government and brings in Ashantis who can help not only Ashantis but also people from other tribes, he will be deemed as an "accomplice" to the evil machinations of the Akyem Mafia. A word of caution: no Ashanti is ever going to be used like a fool again. NEVER!
