The weekly prayer organiser and the image of UEW

I had always thought that those in the church are the people to look up to. However, I have been proved wrong on daily basis by the fact that the actions of these very people do not in any way conform to the preaching of Christ, the man the building called Church symbolises. Aside the heartless and destructive Catholic priest of UEW who has sworn to use politics to destroy an academic institution, and his several beneficiaries, another disappointing lecturer (from the grapevine) at the department of history education has come up with a useless write-up because he is awaiting a Donation to the Rank of Senior Lecturer. Mr history lecturer, right from the day I saw you calling for prayers on the campus, I had no doubt to suspect that you were behind the wickedness of the Catholic priest aimed at enriching himself (from the grapevine). There are several questions that your write-up raises and I shall point them out for level headed Ghanaians to know. You seem to have lambasted all, the first VC, his successor and Prof Avoke for not helping the University. However, in each of the instances that these VCs were in office, your priest friend was part of academic board, where most decisions on the campus were taken. Where was this Saint Afful-Broni that he could not help those you have labelled as corrupt VCs? But I do not blame you since you are a direct beneficiary of the Mess that is being caused by the wicked man of God... who cannot tolerate differences in opinions. EVEN substantive and legal VCs rule universities with differences in views not to talk of an illegal priest who is using political/tribal tools to cause troubles on the campuses (especially UEW main campus). If you talk of corruption, nobody is more corrupt than Afful-Broni. Now I enumerate for you some of the terrible things Afful-Broni has done that exposes his very greed and lack of integrity.

1. He has promoted people when external assessment reports are totally negative e.g..Brako.

2. He has promoted people whose applications were being withheld for allegations of duplications of publications and plagiarism e.g. Dominic Mensah (now Asso Prof)

3. He has paid committee members for no work done (the illegal committee that was set by him as an illegal Ag VC to investigate Dr Samuel BEKOE).

4. He endorsed payment of 5% to Bruno, and others for no work done (something they had claimed was wrong)

5. He endorsed an increase in council allowance to GHC1,500 per meeting (something they once said was wrong)

6. He keeps meeting students pretending to like them yet has never met Convocation whom he has sharply divided.

7. There is yet to be released two donated Asso Profs

8. People who are supporting him are being made to submit poor quality published papers for promotion and he facilitates the processes.

9. He is using all kinds of tactics to sack lecturers who have openly opposed his greed...e.g. Dr Samuel BEKOE and Dr Samuel ATINTONO. He claims the latter vacated post when the University actually wrote two letters in support of his application and stating categorically that the University is ready to release him should he be given the scholarship. Eric Sakyi Nketia, do you know what it means for a university to be recognised? It is not by people as you who do not even have the required degrees to teach in the University, neither is it by cheap professors like your priest who have no area of specialization and only wait for others to add his name to publications. Can you tell me where your priest is known as an academic? How can University grow under a priest who thinks any paper submitted for promotion must go through simply because he wants people to say Avoke who was checking quality is bad? I dare you to mention a single corrupt practice of Avoke including any known mysterious promotions.

10. He revoked all appointments of Avoke and appointed people who thought are his supporters and EVEN appointed Juniors to rule over seniors creating tensions in departments and faculties.

11. He is giving illegal post retirement contracts to selected people he thinks support him. E.g. Prof Pufaa is given post retirement contract at 68 when as Assoc Prof he has exhausted his 5 years retirement contract and was now on part-time.

12. He has approved around GHC45,000 for a biased council fact finding committee to chop “chamfu chamfu”.

I tell you (e.g. Eric Nketia) that nothing shall be left uncovered until you people shut up. People are monitoring UEW greedy ones who think everything is okay in as long as you are benefiting from the UEW chaos situation. Eric, you are Broni’s church member, you are promised Senior Lecturer award soon and so you think you can fool? You lie BAD. I shall be preparing to read your counteracts to the above raised issue. I remain in the Lord, but not the ONE you hypocrites serve.
