Three persons suspected to be thieves have been picked up by the police at the scene of the gas explosion Saturday night.
Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Police Service, DSP Shellia Abayie Buckman, confirmed the arrest to Adom News.
In an interview with Adom News’ Kwame Kulenu, she explained that the three were stealing from shops and other properties deserted at the Atomic junction gas explosion site when they were accosted.
DSP Buckman said they are currently in custody at the Madina police station and would be arraigned before the court on Monday, October 9, 2017.
She also noted that security officers have been deployed to the area to protect life and properties and to also control traffic.
DSP Buckman urged other criminals planning to storm the place to rescind their decision because they are on red alert.
