Alhaji Short Consoles Atomic Junction Gas Explosion Victims

I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the people of Ghana following last night’s inferno around the ‘Atomic Junction’ in Accra. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families who have lost lives & properties; and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

It’s heartbreaking to continually hear about incidents like this in our motherland. It is about time we take a second look at the siting of gas filling stations in the country, and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, so as to forestall the occurrence of any such avoidable incidents in the future.

I live in the hope that while natural disasters are cruel, the hearts of people all over the world are always connected in such disastrous situations. I believe that Family members and friends of those who lost their lives and properties will be strong and unite to be able to fully overcome these difficulties.

I stand with every Ghanaian in this difficult situation!!!
