Freda Prempeh Cuts Sod For Construction Of Ultra-Modern Office For Tano North NPP

The Member of Parliament [MP] for the Tano North Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hon. Freda Prempeh properly known as (OBAA NOAA) over the weekend, has cut the sod for the commencement of construction of an ultra-modern office for the Tano North Constituency of the New Patriotic Party at Duayaw-Nkwanta.

Speaking to Sunyani based radio Metro 90.5FM, The MP who is also the Deputy Minister of Works and Housing said the project will cost about GH¢350.000 (3.5 billion).

She said the facility would have a conference room, kitchen, toilet, offices and stores which would be rented and profits made would be used to run the party office.

“As you have prayed and support me for the appointed as Deputy Minister for Works and Housing by President Nana Addo, what I can do to thank Tano North constituency is to build ultra modern office complex for you” she told residents of Tano North”.

According to Mrs. Freda Prempeh, “the funding for the facility is from my own pocket, I will make sure that the contractor will use our local materials, in order to reduce the cost and also employ people in the constituency to work on the facility”.

Hon. Prempeh expressed appreciation to the NPP council of elders, patrons, coordinators, polling station and constituency executives and all members and supporters in the area for their hard work which helped the NPP to regain power in the Election 2016.

She commended the paramount chief of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Boakye Tromo III and members of Duayaw Nkwanta traditional council for readily releasing land for the construction.

Mrs Prempeh indicated that more than 100 youth in the area had been engaged under the National Youth Employment programme and a lot more would soon be engaged.

She said almost all the communities in the constituency had benefited from a number of development projects within the past eight years, saying they included extension of electricity and construction of mechanised boreholes.

Other projects, the MP said were streetlights, construction of durbar grounds, classroom blocks, toilet and sanitary facilities, donations of motorbikes, medical devices, and computers and other educational materials and renovation of health centres.

She donated 100 bags of cement and GH¢2,000.00 to the St. John of God Catholic Church towards a building project being undertaken by the parish.

“Government would soon establish bricks and tiles factory at Tanoso in the Tano North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.On completion, the facility which is under the government’s “One-District, One-Factory” project would create direct and indirect employments for more than 1,000 youth in the District” she stated .

Mrs Freda Prempeh, the Deputy Minister of Works and Housing, said 27 acres of land had been acquired and walled for the project.

She said government had completed negotiation with an Italian company to supply modern machines and equipment to be installed by the close of the year.

Chief linguist of the Omanhene of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Boakye Tromo III, Nana Nana Krobea Asante Owusu, expressed profound gratitude to Mrs Prempeh for great works and the love she have shown to good people of Tano North constituency.

“We the Duayaw Nkwanta traditional council have seen and experienced your numerous interventions and can never ever say that you have done nothing for us. Hon. Freda Prempeh for all you have done and keep doing for us the least we can do is to continue support your Government to succeed and to assure you of our blessings" he added.

“Hon. Keep improves our livelihoods with you massive development you are doing for the constituency, we wish you God's blessings and protection” he concluded.
